  • Learn professional coding.
  • Create digital art and design sounds.
  • Learn the game design theory.
  • Design 2D, 3D, and VR games.
  • Publish your games online and to the app store.

Why should kids learn to make games?

  • Learning to code is becoming a necessary skill for graduating students. Our whole world is run by software and code.
  • Games include every academic and creative discipline rolled into one. Math, science, art, writing and music all come together in games.
  • Because kids love games, they are willing to learn the hard stuff! Complicated math, logic and design!
  • Game development is a transferable skill. Understanding it will give you the skills to succeed in any field you choose.

We Don't Play Games....
We Make Them.

Our Curriculum

Our curriculum is created by our founder Nick Marks. Nick has 20 years of experience as a professional game developer and teacher. Nick has had the privilege of mentoring and teaching some of the best game developers in the industry. Here are a few of the games they work on.

The Game Gen Method

  • Learn coding, art, and design concepts in the order humans invented them in
  • Learn from classic games Space Invaders, Donkey Kong, and Pac-man.
  • Your student start with games from the 70's and work through the decades towards present day games.
  • Each project builds in complexity and works towards mastery.

We don't have grades at Game Gen. What we do is have Fight Club. Games go head to head in this global competition.

Our students publish their games to GameGen.Games. They see their games played by thousands of visitors each month.

Game Gen Student Requirements

  • We require all of our students to understand multiplication.
  • We require dedicated and hard working students who really want to learn computer science
